  • I understood the complexity of making a video, being a camera conscious person, this task was very challenging for me. This task gave me the opportunity to experience the process for making a video with a message from my end. Additionally, my suggestion for this task is that if the interns are asked to edit the video according the need, we would get to learn how to make those required changes. Not everyone might agree but this can be voluntary.

  • I read about writing a blog before doing this task, as this was the first blog I ever wrote. It helped me in understand how to select the important aspects that must be mentioned in a blog.

  • From the technical aspect I learned how to make a slide with little connect but impactful description. I also learned about the public health system of the assigned country which I would never have had otherwise.

  • 1. Critical thinking
    2. Providing valuable feedback (which can only happen if I understand the problem correctly)
    3. Keen observation skills
    4. Improved reading skills
    5. As the slides were not to be presented, I also learned how I can create a self-explanatory PPT which is not boring to see.

  • I’m not sure if I acquired any data management skill. We mostly worked on data collection and data organization.

INSPIRE Virtual Experiential Learning Program - EVALUATION MATRIX

I wished to learn more about data informatics but even after the internship m not very comfortable or confident to talk about the same. I had not expected to work on a dashboard, but I did by data entry so that was new. I also wanted to have an experience of working on a project but that didn’t happen either. But in all, my experience at FHTS was enriching.

The research that I did for understanding the public health system and how they tackled the Covid 19 pandemic.

I would recommend INSPIRE program to others.

Experience with INSPIRE Program

Testimonial

The internship at FHTS was my first virtual internship. It gave me a great platform to work online with several challenging task. I feel more confident due to the skills acquired during my internship. Being a public health student, I understand how essential it is for us to present our thoughts or interventions in a limited time and at FHTS I was given the opportunity to do the same, have experienced how challenging it can be. I also have learned to segregate the data I need more efficiently, from the vast set of data available. The entire team of FHTS is very friendly and professional, they cleared all my doubts whenever I had any. I would like to thank the FHTS family for giving me this opportunity.
