Goals

My name is Dr. Deeksha Shetty from Manipal, Karnataka. I have done my bachelor's in integrative medicine and currently pursuing my Masters in Public Health from Manipal University. I would like to describe myself as a creative, compassionate, and organized person. I went through medical school falling in love with taking care of patients, diagnosing them, and educating them on their care. However, I felt that my passion is shifting and so started public health at Manipal University. Public health professionals play a significant role in the overall wellbeing and prosperity of the community. My major goal is to involve learning as much as I can until I eventually take on a leadership role. I am driven to be the best at what I would and I like to work in a place where I will have the chance to build up my abilities, take on new difficulties over time, and work with individuals I can truly gain from. Throughout the following hardly any years, I want to explore and develop skills in Project management and want to have gained experience in leading projects. I will be looking for opportunities to expand my responsibilities to work towards my goal. Also, I would still be wanting practicing medicine, seeing patients, I see myself growing as a person by tapping into some of my creative talents so running a hospital, Non-governmental organization, having a blog. Over the next few years, I would like to find myself in a position to mentor others in the field, putting my experience to use in ways that help others achieve what I’ve attained.
