Goals

I am presently a student at Amity University-Noida Campus, pursuing Masters in Social Work. I have done PG diploma in Public health management as well. I had also worked for almost 2 years in the development sector. I had worked in an American Cancer Society project in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University-Center for Communication Programs. The project focussed on enhancing awareness and motivating young adult working women of lower middle-income group to seek regular health check-up and screening for the two key early detectable women’s cancer i.e., breast and cervical cancer i.e., enabling timely action.
As I am currently pursuing the Masters course with the expectation of upgrading my skillsets to flourish in the development sector. Besides this, I am also pursuing the PG diploma in rural development from IGNOU-Delhi. After the completion of my course, I see myself working under CMGGA (Chief Minister Good Governance Associate) programme in Haryana. I want to drive mass impact on the ground, especially for my State first. CMGGAs ensure streamlined implementation of the state government’s flagship programmes in the field of education, women’s safety, health and sanitation and other areas. My area of interest is healthcare and education. I want to hone up my skills working under the practiced professionals and utilise the learnings in the implementation of new ideas within my interest sphere through this programme.
After that, if I may avail the opportunity of running a pilot project in the field of healthcare, I may do that. Or, after three more years, I would strive hard for a UN agency. I want to work under a good designation after 3-4 years for being able to create a bigger impact on individual of society. Also, I want to work in a field where I could make use of my Public health and social work-related skillsets altogether.
My interests are specifically in public health, health education, and infectious disease epidemiology. I wanted to work with marginalized communities to help improve their health outcomes. “Health is Wealth” is a famous saying which refers to the importance of health in everyone’s life. Healthy people are an asset to every country. It’s not just doctors who are responsible for a healthy environment. Professionals like Public Health Administrators play a major role in keeping the world healthier.
I want to create a platform where I can educate people about the importance of health and reducing health risks. As Public health professional, I can work for not only be limited to the cure of infectious diseases, but also bring awareness among the citizens to better take care of themselves. Public health also looks after safer workplaces, good physical environment, and healthier mothers and babies. So, I want to explore my worth in these areas.
