Goals

My plan of action for next 1 year
Currently I am working at NIRT, as a Project Officer. Due to COVID-19 pandemic our project was on hold for 2 months. So, for now I want to use this opportunity to upgrade my skills and build core competencies which will help me enhance my career. In 2021, It will be 2 years of working at NIRT and I want to get a Job in health policy sector or as a health analyst. Which for now is a very crucial step for my career and professional growth.
Apart from all these professional planning’s, there are few things which I always wanted to do but because of lack of time or laziness I never did them. I want to learn meditation because as in current scenario taking care of mental health is need of the hour. The coming next year is important as its lying foundation for my professional steps in field of public health and I will try to utilize resources I have to my maximum potential.
My plan of action for next 3 years
Basically, I believe that whatever you do currently is going to shape your life in future. So, I don’t make long term plans because with my own experience I learned it. I graduated as dental surgeon but after serving few years I came in public health because I observed that at community level there are many loopholes in public policies implementation at grass root level. But if I see myself in next three years, my priority will be to have a balanced professional and personal life. Because it will be my initial years in public health, but I want to gain a bit of stability career wise. Apart from all this I want to get associated with some organization which is dedicated towards oral health improvement programmes in our country. Because that was the reason, an eye opener for me which made me understand that working at basic level of health awareness, community participation in health programmes is as much important as clinical treatment. I will try to get complete Phd. Which I always wanted to do but in planned 1st to get 2 years working experience later on go for PhD.
Importantly this pandemic brought lots of uncertainties, so I want to work on my skillsets vigorously as in upcoming time it’s important to present your area of expertise wisely to be a contributor in improving public health system.

I had a great learning experience during my 2 months internship program. I learned about Smart Rapid Tracker COVID-19 Dashboard, how we can use data so it will be easily understand by non-scientific background person various countries Health care systems and how globally countries are following advisories and policies to deal with current pandemic situation. I also had an insight about blog writing. So overall these two months helped me to upgrade my skills and knowledge.
