Dr. Samia Amin has a background in clinical medicine and started her clinical career in Bangladesh in 2002. She has previously worked as a research assistant in Bangladesh; and research fellow in Malaysia. Her research interest emphasizes how technology (e.g. Social media or electronic health records) can escalate the effectiveness of interventions and improve health outcomes.

She applies various research methodologies including clinical trials, systematic reviews, quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method studies to generate important scientific contributions.
